Four Years Of Saving Money, And Four Quick Tips!
Welcome to Saving Money with Andrew!
This week marks four years of Saving Money With Andrew. That’s a lot of content! But sadly, as a weekly newsletter, prior posts are easily forgotten. So I wanted to take a moment to flag four posts that I think provide exceptional value:
Friends Don't Let Friends Earn Zero Interest (On Their Cash) - Interest rates have skyrocketed. You should make sure your money isn’t stuck in a near-zero interest rate account.
Homeowner's Insurance, An Annual Savings Reminder - Homeowner’s insurance is really expensive! Shop around and review your bill each year to see if there are savings to be had.
Saving Money on Property Taxes - Property taxes are also extremely expensive. But there are ways to save. We’ve contested our taxes each year using a service that charges us 30% of any first-year savings and handles all paperwork, saving us over $1,000 (net of fees) in the process.
Save $300 Or More With A Defensive Driving Course - Every three years, my wife and I take an online defensive driving course, saving us $300 on each of our two auto insurance policies.
There’s a good chance at least one of these posts is new to you, and could easily save you hundreds of dollars per year. And if you’ve already done all four, congrats! You really are a great SMwA reader.
And now, Andrew’s pick(s) of the week:
Don’t Hate the Influencer Who Loves Her Big, Cheap Apartment. Wouldn’t You?
Why Some Seats at Elite Colleges Only Go to Prep School Students
From Where Have All the Lindas Gone?:
The registry site Babylist scanned samples of roughly 20,000 baby registrations between the years 2018 and 2022 and found just two examples of infants named Linda.
I hope this has been helpful. If you liked it, please share it on social media! Also, please send me your feedback, requests, and success stories.
